hello my name is alex
and my uncle is about to give me a 83 240D
i drive the car sometimes and it drives very well
even though it only has 67HP but at least its RWD
my other cars
75 ford maverick 302 4v auto(current project)
73 plymouth fury III 400 4v auto
89 ford tempo -died two months ago stripping it down to upgrade the mav(3rd brke light,bucket seats,power doors,etc.)
Problem
ok here the problem i have -the power moonnroof wont work
it has never worked since my uncle got it
it has a hole on the headliner were i think the previous owner used to open it
does any one know how to open it manually?

A 240D in its day was a very popular car, especially in Europe and countries where gas prices were a lot higher then in the USA. Also, INHO, it is one of the "pretty" cars of the 80's. Diesel fuel back in does days was very inexpensive, not like today. 67HP, you got to give a little to get what most drivers of thes cars wanted, mileage. I am not surprised it runs well, with the proper car, there almost bulletproof, something Mercedes has lost the knach for today.
