Greetings to all, I am the owner of a 1999 C280 in need of some advice concerning working on the car myself. The lack of an available service/repair manual is making some of my efforts somewhat problematic. I am currently ready to replace pads all around and the front rotors as well as repack or replace the bearings at 80,000 miles and have not been able to determine where, on the underside of the car is an acceptable, safe position for the floor jack or jack stands. I also need to know the torque spec for the allen screw that secures the rotors to the hubs. In addition, I do not want to assume that the method for tightening the castle nut is typical.

I will attempt to search the posts and archives for this information, hoping that someone else has taken this journey,
