Converting to Xenon lights
I have a cracked headlight lens and in looking for a replacement started doing some cursory research on Xenon lights. I am hoping someone can answer a few questions for me.
1. A family member's car has Xenon lights and they seem pretty darn good to me...is converting worth it? (Is there enough gain to justify the cost/hassle?)
2. Am I correct in assuming that you not only have to buy the conversion kit, but you also need a headlight lens that's compatible with the Xenon light? (I notcied the headlight lenses I was looking at were"non-Xenon" headlight lenses, I'm assuming that means that there are "ok for Xenon" lenses as well, and that the 2 different types exist for a reason. The kits I've seen don't mention this and it seems to be a big deal if you need to replace the lenses, as well.)
3. If you've been through this conversion, where did you get your kit?
3a. How did the process go?
3b. What were the "gotcha's" you came across during the project?
Any and all guidance is appreciated.
Thanks,
Eric
