CLK320 or ML320?? Snow/Girls?
I'm currently looking for either a CLK320, CLK430 (maybe AMG if it's not too much) or a ML320. I live in Wyoming and it snows here, so I am a little concerned about that, but I'm on the border of deciding which one I want to buy.
I'll be straight up honest with everyone, I want something that will be functional during the winter and something to impress women (but only just a little). I don't want it just because I want to look cool for the women, although these thoughts do cross my mind. My friend bought a 99 CLK430 AMG and I absolutely loved his car. My concerns are that I already have one car, it's a 4 door, and if I got a CLK would it really be that much different in function although it would definately be more luxurious, so should I go with a ML320.
I'm not to worried about gas milage or insurance. I want one with the Navigation package and either running boards & grill gaurd for the ML or non-stock wheels for the CLK.
Does anyone have any experience with both of these vehicles and how they enjoyed them? I get a tiny bit of the 'panty dropping' effect with the 325i (only because it has a new paint job and 02' M3 18" wheels on it so it looks very new), is there more of this effect with the SUV of the coupe? I know this sounds pretty pretentious, but this has basically been what it has boiled down to through my needs and wants. I want something newer to drive, I want something nice, reliable, classy, a little sexy, good in the snow and all I'd think both of these vehicles have the good qualities on both but I haven't decided which one yet. Also I'm looking on spending less than $15,000.

Hi
For snowy region, it is best to get an SUV but I warn you that ML320 is not very reliable car and electrical system issue is the big headache one. If you really need an SUV for snow, put some more cash for a new ML 350 of either 2005, 2006 if you don't want to get a newly redesigned 2007 ML 350 with lot more improvement. DO NOT TOUCH ANY ML 320 MODELS OR YOU WILL BE REGRET LATER ON. That is all I can tell you. If you are a mechanic then I will keep my mouth shut but if you are not, I suggest you to stay away from ML 320 models. Good Luck and enjoy your new car, a STATE-OF-THE-ART Automobile.

Yeah i second that dont get an ML if you need 4x4 get a 4-matic sedan. They can be had under 15K.
If you goin for the panty dropping effect go for the CLK. MLs look like mini-vans to alot of ladies so.

what part of wyoming? i used to live in laramie, and i never had a problem getting around in my s-class without 4matic. grew up and still live in minnesota, more snow than the high plains by far, still never had a problem with 2wd. as long as you can keep your foot out of the gas and learn to drive the thing right, you should be fine.
as far as girls, dont even try to get any with a car. i've had 5 benzes now and an assortment of other fine cars, and none of them have gotten me any female attention. in fact, more guys comment than girls.
