Please Help! My 93 400SEL runs fine when it's wants to. turns over fine but there are times when it gets to operating temp. it will start to miss fire if I turn it off and try to start it back up it will not start it will back fire. I have checked the dist. cap an rotors and replaced the cam sensor. after it cools down it will run fine for a few days or so. I'm thinking that the crank sensor is going bad.
can some please tell me if this will cause this problem and if not what can it be? Thanks!

 

Have you had the fuel pump checked?
