560sel ignition coil
 

Have a 1990 560sel with 127k miles. Want to start changing the oil myself via the dipstick. Other sites say that it's best to disconnect the ignition coil before cranking the engine over after the change. This prevents too much strain on the timing chain. Have a repair CD but the coil is not behind the EZL as shown on the diagram. Looking for the location of the coil. Thanks.

Why are you changing the oil via the dipstick? The coil is located on the drivers side between the engine and fender well, mounted on the fender well with a black plastic cover over it
