Default 2022 C300 Sedan - touch screen issues

Just bought brand new 2022 c300. Love the car EXCEPT that the touch screen is incredibly hot. Took it back to dealer today and they saw that the
temp was 134 degrees!! Way too hot. This is not right. Also the phone charger pad heated up my phone so hot that I got an error that stopped the charger from working.! What is going on and has anyone had this happen? I took a 2022 C300 as a loaner and the same thing happened. I am just afraid that my phone is going to catch fire!
Dealership has seen this but at a loss for why this is happening. I told them that the car is kept in a garage and the same thing happened when the car was cooled down. Within 20 minutes I got the same error on my phone. I understand it is hot out but this should not be happening.
Any suggestions?
TIA

Sounds like an electrical issue somewhere in the vehicle. Can't imagine any other cause of electronics being that hot despite not being directly exposed to sunlight for extended time.
Considering the vehicle is literally brand new, I'm sure that no one knows the cause quite yet. You could ask for a different vehicle, or an outright refund on grounds that the car is defective from the factory.

Honestly, whether you're a technician or just a regular customer, I would not attempt to diagnose this issue or start opening up parts of the car and testing electricals. It's still under warranty considering how new it is, so any form of DIY work done to the car (even if you put everything back exactly as it was prior) could void your warranty, then you'd really be stuck with a big problem. My advice is simple: Keep the car and continue bringing it in to the dealer for the sake of documentation and hopefully the mechanics there can eventually narrow down the problem. OR you could trade the car in for a different one. I'd avoid getting the exact same make and model, likely others have the same issue you're experiencing or will eventually have that issue.

Hope everything works out.

Thank you very much for the reply. I definitely won't be doing any repairs myself but am very nervous about this. I haven't driven the car in almost 2 weeks as it has been so hot up here in CT. Going to take it out this weekend and see how it goes. Thanks Again!

Default Mercedes c300 2022 screen problem

I am having the same problem with my screen. Not even 2 weeks after I got the car my screen turned off while I was driving and then this very loud screeching sound happened. I pulled over and turned off the car thinking it would help. nope. It took about 7 minutes of me turning the car on and off and leaving the car for the sound to stop and the screen to go back on. I’ve now had the car for two months and on my way to work this morning my music audio stopped playing and then my screen turned off as I was driving. I have no idea why this happened. It took about 5 minutes for it to go back on, I took a video to show the dealer. The screen does get incredibly hot too. I put my phone to charge in the slot that they have and it over heated my phone! Never again will I charge my phone in the car. I am very frustrated with this issue!! It is a beautiful car but for this stuff to happen to a mercedes is just not okay. I am going to the dealer to complain. I have no idea what the problem is.

I want to complain to Mercedes directly. This is a dangerous issue and has got to be fixed. Let me know how you make out. Kelly

Yeah, I agreed with you. By the way, if you want to write an essay assignment on history then you can learn here more information on history. I also use that website to read essay samples because I can read them for free over there.

Did anyone resolve this issue? I just took delivery of my car, it was a showroommodel with 10000 km from a Mercedes dealership. Within 15 km I got a screen that turned black and started flickering and my phone got really hot when charging. Brought it back to the dealership and they told me it would resolve with a new software-update. But I don't see any software-updates available...
