Hi, I just recently acquired (mother passed away) a 2002 ML500 and I have some questions about the vehicle. I try to do all of my car repairs myself but this car is a little more than I'm used to. I've read a lot about the machine gun locks which this car has (and I will fix) but I'm mainly concerned with, what are some common high-dollar fixes that might occur when vehicle has 162000+ miles. It runs like a top and my Dad had it maintained meticulously (after he bought it used, not sure about the mileage at the time). Thanks!

 

Ball joints, Cats, burn oil, transmission conductor plate, crank sensor, fuel sending units, sunroof leaks/water drain leaks, motor mounts, valve cover gaskets leak, power steering leaks, washer reservoir leaks, stop lamp switch, transmission connector leaks just to name a few.
