Default 2001 C320 Questions

I am new to the forum. I am planning to buy a 01 C320 for 14000 with 72000 miles on it. Is this a good deal? Also does any current owner of this model experience a lot of problems. I would appreciate anyones input on this. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum. The W203 did have some problems 01-04 being the worst most were electical and not mechaincal the 320 motor is one of the better MB motors. Mileage isnt as much a worry as people spilling drink on the electrics. Also i have heard the dash display can go out on some of them search the C-class forum to see what others have to say.

Thanks for the quick reply. Are electrical problems expensive to repair? Do I have to go to the dealership to get it repaired if it happens? Thanks again!

Depends on what the repair is gauge clusters have been know to go i think you can get them used and replace them urself and same with the command unit however i am not sure ur car being an 01 would have the command unit(navigation display) I have also heard that spilling things on the transmission shifter causes an electical short but dont recall the model that this happened too. Check the car for water damage and remember the more electronic options a car has the more that can go wrong. If you dont care that a few minor things dont work then it shouldnt bother u but i am **** if my car has the option i want them to work how they should. Just how i am.
