New guy here,as I said above looking at possibly buying a Mercedes diesel of this decade. Are there parts that are hard to find that would make it not worth it to by this 500 dollar car? It has about 250k and running.

You can still buy virtually everything from Mercedes.

 

My dealer claims to keep parts for cars back to 1956, and can have a non-stock item in no more than three days. Then for older cars, there's always the Stutgart custom shop; I just got a stainless exhuast system. Don't be afraid of a two-thousand dollar repair every once in a while.
