Trying to decide on which winter tires to get. 06 slk, blizzaks are not available
in 245's for rear wheels, tire rack is suggesting 225-45-zr17 for both front and back
since they don't make the same tire in 245's. They are also suggesting revo-1's

Any thoughts ?

 

Do you need snow or rain footware? I use Hankook cheapos all year.

I'm in the same boat as you are-the Chicago winters demand the change to winter tires. What did you decide to get? Did you buy wheels from them too? I kind of like the AMG wheels that look like the ones in the SLK brochure. They can be had with Blizzaks.

am using the original slk350 wheels, (bought custom benz wheels for summer) and just purchased blizzak revo 1's no one had 245's for back, so decideded to get the
225 45 17's for front and back ...........tire rack said the tires would fit the rear wheels just fine even though they are 1 inch wider. No other choice since i did not want to buy antoher set of wheels or go down to 16's
