What I try to do once a year is clay the car, polish it by machine, then wax. I say I try because with 5 cars and a motorcycle it's not always easy. The claying and machine polishing removes embedded contaminants and surface scratches/swirls to make the car look as shiny as possible. The wax is more to protect the finish. Depending on the color I use different products. For example, on red or black I use Meg's NXT Tech Wax because it has color enhancers and good depth, for silver or white I use Meg's #16 Professional Paste Wax for high reflectivity. |
