traction control
Hello,
Does anyone know how to turn off the traction and/or stability control on these cars. I find it annoying for power to be taken away just because the computer senses a little slip, drift, skid. Thanks, Phillip Las Vegas, NV |

RE: traction control
Sorry, don't quite know what you mean about the "reader" bit. I race shifter karts and want to get into auto crossing. I own a 99 SLK 230 and would like to deactivate the traction control for obvious reasons. It seems as though you know a lot about these cars so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also, where is the MAF valve, and where could I find a MAF relocation kit. Thanks so much in advance.
I found a thread the other night regarding downloading an owner's manual but can't find it now, any link? Phillip Las Vegas, NV |

Have a search on here. http://www.benzworld.org/forums/r170-slk-class/
Owners manual is in links at top of page. MAF relocation kit normally comes with Pulley kit www.aspracing.com but you can use parts from Post 2000 and turn pipe around. This is also on the other site.. try a search . Good luck. On a 99 just turn off the ASR (leaves yellow triangle ON on dash) Switch under Heater controls. Bazzle |
