still plagued by flashing...
after 3 years(!) of searching/researching I cannot find a single MB mechanic in my area (Tulsa) that can tell me (either empirically or from experience) w/o an expensive diagnostic test, why my low fuel light starts flashing whenever I drive my SLK (99, 230) a few miles and come to stop for a long light. Yes, I am fairly it is something to do with a pressure leak
in the fuel system but it always goes away whenever I turn off the engine, and restart anytime later. The manual says it is a fuel cap warning, but I have replaced the cap to no avail. Anyone, who has also had this happen or who has a suggestion on the connundrum will be greatly appreciated. Buffaloed Bill |
