Speedo Display from KM/h to MPH?
 

On the UK SLK 2005 the speedo/speedometer dial shows my speed in MPH but my digital display shows it in KM/h? Why?
Does anyone know how to change this?
(It is very annoying when you glance down and see how fast you are driving but then realise its KM/h!)

there should be a menu where you can toggle between mph and kph...

toggle through your multifunction display until you hit settings. From there, go to instrument cluster settings and it is in there that you will find the place to select MPH or Km/H.

On printing, reading through and testing it no luck!
on Page 12 it does state that this will not work for UK models?

Why are we using KM/h when MPH is standard in the UK?
If I drive abroad then I know to change it to KM/h!

There must be some way around this?
How can other models (non UK) have this feature?
Are the UK cars given a cheper program?

I found all of the online Manuals through the Mercedes Benz Australia website.

On the LH side of the screen is a link for "online user manuals". This will take you to a screen which shows all of the available vehicles. It's strange how you can pick up different thing on different countries websites.

As for the coding of your UK cluster for MPH to Km/h, ask you dealer if they can change the country coding of the cluster if it is a UK thing. There may be some reason that they can't.

Hi I have a 2004 w203 and it is UK registered. I have exactly the same issue, the digital speedo reports in kmh which is of no use apart from teaching me what mph is in kmh.
