SLK350 Sport Suspension...
 

Does anyone out there know if the Sport Suspension parts can be gotten seperatly? The AMG package is the only package I did not get on my SLK350, I do not like the look of the 5 point AMG rims on the red as much as I like the 10 spokes. I also like the cleaner look of the non-AMG package car.

I had the $200 Sport Suspension package on my 2005 SLK350 (which lasted 1,315 miles [thanks for destroying my car, AUTONATION!]) Combined with the run flats, the ride and handling were much better, by a factor of 10. Unfortunatly Mercedes-Benz killed that option for the 2006 year.

I almost didn't get the replacement 2006 after I drove it. The 11mm ride height and different shocks do not return ANY luxury on the handling they give up. It actually has a wallowy feel to it. I talked to RennSport and they have a coil-over solution but I know the sport factory suspension is the perfect feel for me. If I autocross the car, coil overs will put me in class with guted purpose-built racers.

PS: 2005 - Euro Delivery, much better built car, they really check it out. 2006 regular dealer delivery, ugh. SRS failed for the third time yesterday. Not including.... Well, if you want the full bitch list you'll have to ask for it.
