Give the roof a thump where the switches are.
The front ones go faulty more than the others.
The silicon bellows jams them up or the contacts go open.

Is the hydraulic fluid level correct?

If the pump is running then it is unlikely any of the limit switches. These cut the pump supply under various conditions.

Has the hood just gone wrong or has it been removed / refitted / adjusted etc. by somebody?

Stuart.

well you should know this if your hydraulic fluid level got low or in other meaning isnt giving the hydraulic the ammount of fluid , it might jam up your Bumpand your cylinders
well if you want the small windows to get back up you
can do things
either you open ur boot let some one press the butten of the Conv and you press the thing to close it
this thing will restore the system
or you can do it the hard way
which is to fill the hydraulic bump and close it
i recommend you to check for leaks on the wires or the cylinders or the hydraulics

take this extra note
consider this slk's under 2001 models have hell problems
not cause of the mechical things no its more of a software wise
what i really recomend all the slk owners is to go the servies and to reprogram your cars
cause belive me all the problems you guys are facing is programs
when it gives over load power it might burn or break down many things
soo try to do this and belive you will see defrence in the
perfourmance
electronical wise
andlessproblems
