Retractable Top is not Working
Does anybody here know what fuse controls the convertible top on my 2003 SLK 320 Sport? Yesterday I opened the top half way to apply silicone on all of the parts. After halfway opening the top, I was called away on an emergency so I turned off the engine and left the top halfway open. Over an hour later I returned to my car and started the engine. The top had settled on its own back down (but, of course, not latched) and the trunk lid remained open ready to accept the top into the trunk. The open/close lever now doesn't work even though the red light on it shines brightly. There is no sound at all when pulling or pushing the lever! How do I fix this? Thanks in advance! Bill

Retractable Top is not Working
GEEZ, I was hoping to get some idea (ANY idea) how to solve this problem! Any thoughts whatsoever would be appreciated! Thanks again! Bill

1st thing is to try the top a few times just with the switchs. then try to open it back up as if your going to put the roof into the trunk....if you able to. you might need 2 people. but it should just start working by playing with the switch and moving the top manually. and try cycling the key at times too. make sure the car is running so there is enough battery power.

Thanks!
Thanks for the tip, Chassis! I'll give moving the top back down manually a try and I'll post the results. I have messed with the switch countless times with no luck but I'll also keep trying that with the top halfway down.

Now the Top Works!
chassis: YIPPEEEEEEEE! It Works! Trying the switch with the top like half down didn't do anything, so I manually pushed the top fully down and closed the trunk cover. Now the top works PERFECTLY! Thanks again for your help chassis!!
