Default Programming the Homelink

I traded my 2000 SLK 230 for a 2007 280. Both had the Homelink garage door openers installed. I have a Genie opening with rolling codes and the 230 Homelink worked fine with it but the280 Homelinkwill not. I've followed all of the instructions but no luck. BTW, my second door using an older Genie without the rolling codes works fine with the new vehicle. Anyone have a clue? Is there a trick other than the learning-button-press-car-button-twice approach?

Default RE: Programming the Homelink

Problem solved:called Homelink help (800-355-3515). I have a Genie with rolling codes and a replacement remote for the door that had three buttons; only one programmed for the door. After clearing the old codes according to the manual, they had me hold the Genie Remote up to the Homelink in the SLK and press both the wanted HL button and an UNUSED button on the remote. After 20-30 second, the HL flashed quickly. Then hit the learn button on the opening and the HL button in the car. It worked.[/align]

I programmed my Homelink system and genie and followed the directions and got it to work. It worked a few times and then stopped responding. This has happened twice and I don't know what I am doing wrong. Very frustrating.
