A Mercedes SLT???
This from a Bangkok site:
"I was a little bored this afternoon, so what did I do? I sat back,
ordered a pizza, and browsed the Bangkok Post. What's more fun that
reading the Bangkok Post, right?
So anyways, while I was catching up on local Thai news, I stumbled
upon an interesting tidbit of information. Rumor has it Mercedes may
be developing a model to compete with Porsche's Cayman and BMW's Z4
Coupe. The new model, dubbed the SLT, is said to be based on the
current SLK model. The SLT will sport the same McLaren-inspired
front end as its topless brother; however, its back will be modified
and feature a more upright rear windshield than its Porsche and BMW
competitors.
As for power, one would have to assume Mercedes would stick with the
3.0 and 3.5-Liter engines used in the current SLK models. I also
wouldn't be surprised to see an AMG version that's powered the 5.5-
Liter V8 found in the current SLK55.
As always, stay tuned and we'll bring you any new information as it
becomes available. Have a great night, and I'll see you tomorrow.
I'm out."
