K&N Air Filters
Owned a 2001 SLK 320 and want to change the factory air filters with K&N air filters. Owners manual does not ilustrate how to remove the filters to exchange with new ones. Does anyone knows what do I need to open in order to get to the air filter compartment???

K&N Air Filters
Hi...
I have an SLK230.....and my stock box have 2 tubes.... i had to disconnect both to open the box to remove yhe old filter......
let me tell you that changing to k&N is a GREAT stuff...i liked very much and the car become more "speedy"!!!!

|
K&N Air Filters
Also, changing the air filter more often will help keep the Mass Air Flow Sensor clean, which costs a fortune to replace.

K&N Air Filters
if you use those filters (here in Brazil we call them "sport filters"), isnīt the engineīs life (how much it lasts) shorter??
I heard that it makes the car a little bit faster, but it also causes damage to the engine if used for long mileages
|
K & N Filters
Here is an interesting read on filtration.
TheDieselStop.Com - www.thedieselstop.com or Filtration Testing for Amsoil, K&N, Napa, Jackson Racing, Baldwin, and Mazda air filters on a Miata Both make sense but which one is the gospel? Sounds like the choice is who do you believe. Just my $.02 worth |
