K&N Air Filters
Owned a 2001 SLK 320 and want to change the factory air filters with K&N air filters. Owners manual does not ilustrate how to remove the filters to exchange with new ones. Does anyone knows what do I need to open in order to get to the air filter compartment???

K&N Air Filters
if you use those filters (here in Brazil we call them "sport filters"), isn´t the engine´s life (how much it lasts) shorter??

I heard that it makes the car a little bit faster, but it also causes damage to the engine if used for long mileages

K & N Filters
Here is an interesting read on filtration.
TheDieselStop.Com - www.thedieselstop.com
or
Filtration Testing for Amsoil, K&N, Napa, Jackson Racing, Baldwin, and Mazda air filters on a Miata
Both make sense but which one is the gospel?
Sounds like the choice is who do you believe.
