horn stopped working
I adjusted my steering wheel and it appears that something is wrong because the horn won't sound now. It may have been from something else (you don't blow your horn every day) but I checked the fuse and it's good.
Does anyone have any other ideas? Thanks |
Hi.. Had the same prob and found that there was a dry solder joint in the K40 relay. Good instructions an how to on youtube and its the second relay from the end (Once you have the relay opened). Hope this helps?

I checked the fuses, the K40 relay and pretty much everything else I could think of. Is there a connection in the steering column that could come loose. Is there a way to open the housing around the steering wheel?

I pulled the dash and found the "ribbon cable". there doesn't seem to be any issue with it. I pulled the grille and both horns are connected. I don't know where else to go. Does anyone have a diy on how to get to the buttons in the steering wheel. Do i need to disconnect the battery to prevent the air bag from going off.

This is almost embarrasing. It was both horns. Who would think that both horns would go at the same time. A quick trip to Autozone and $38.00 later ... HONK!
Sorry but at least this may be a lesson to check the obvious sometimes. |
Get one of those bumber stickers that says, "Horn broken, watch for finger!"
