it is called recirculating air flap. |
RE: Hi new need help 230k
Is that the actual model of the car ? 230K ? In the USA I've never seen any benz called a 230K. But of course the USA does do some funnny things with the naming conventions as well. All I see is the usual, like C230, E320, SLK320, SL600 ... etc... etc.. etc.. Now some of these come in a kompressor model, but listed as same. But then again ... I may be asleep at the wheel... LOL |

This is the slk forum. His vehicle is a SLK230 (kompressor) Yes that flap and motor drive to it does play up. It is a idle airbypass on the 1st series of SLKs and also acts as a wastegate on all. Hey Baz. Do you know of a name chart, or something like that, that would cross reference international vehical names? Cars made in Japan always have different names than those same models sold in the states. It would be cool to be able to identify models easily.
