Headlight out
Long story short, I have had a lot of problems with my local Mercedes dealership and about 6 months ago I had them replace the the tail lights on my 01, SLK 320 due to a lamp failure. They did this under the recall, replacing both sides.
The next "night" when I went out to drive the car I noticed the "lamp out" warning indicator on the dash illuminated again. So after a quick check it turned out to be a head lamp was now out. To my disgust I just pulled it back in the garage and put the cover over it. I just wasnt up for another trip to the dealer. Anyways, could this something simple the tech left unplugged, is there anything simple I could check? I have checked the bulb both visually and with a meter and it appears to be fine. Any help avoiding another trip to the dealer would be GREATLY appriciated, thanks. |

RE: Headlight out
OUT your dealership. WE want to know where to avoid spending our money and they deserve to be heard if they want to defend their work.

RE: Headlight out
Swap bulbs over to see if fault moves.

RE: Headlight out
Well I am glad I didn't slam my dealer to bad, lol.
Thanks guys for all of the replies, it looks like this latest episode was just a coincidence with the bulb going out the day after the service visit. As Bazzle suggested I swapped the bulbs around and it proved to be the bulb, even though it tested fine. So thanks very, very, very much Bazzle for your suggestion. |
