Default fog light repolacement

2002 SLK320: Any one have documentation on how to replace the driver side fog lamp? I have a new lens (cracked) and the HID bulb but cannot find instructions on how to get to it.

HELP

It's easy. You will need a 8mm box wrench and a #2 Phillips screwdriver. If you remove the head lamp assy, the job IS easy.

There are screws and a hidden clip under the head lamp to remove it. With the head lamp assy removed, you can now see the back of the fog lamp assy from the top side. You may want to loosen the head lamp sprayer to get it out of the way. There are two cap screws holding the fog lamp assy to the front air dam. Loosen them and don't remove the screws completely, just slide the lamp of with the screws back and remove the wire on the back of the lamp. There you go.

IF you don't wish to remove the head lamp assy, the job must be done by removing the inner wheel well lining to access to lamp from the rear. depending on how much room you need, you may need to remove the wheel to gain access. A dirty job, but doable. Hope this helps.

Sleepwalker; Do you have the head lamp replacement proceedure also? Showing the hidden clip under the lamp assy.? I think there is more room to work on the fog lamp from above it. It is how I did mine. Thanks!

it's also convenient to do it from headlamp since you don't need to take the car up. (esp. if only to replace bulb)
