BAS/ESP Malfunction

Cool BAS/ESP Malfunction
I have a 2005 SLK350, I was adjusting the steering wheel, which is electronic, in and out. When I was finished the BAS/ESP Malfunction! Visit workshop! warning starting flashing alternately in the center of the dash. What is your take on this?? Thanks

probably a steering angle sensor or a clock spring. or a steering column module.
