Another BAS/ESP Problem

Another BAS/ESP Problem
I too am now getting the BAS/ESP light as soon as I touch my brake pedal upon starting. I have read in past posts that it might be fixed with adjustment of the brake switch. OK, where is it and how adjusted? Any other ideas from those of you who are well educated in this problem?

Thank you in advance!

RE: Another BAS/ESP Problem
Sleepwalker,
OK, I tried your fix and found the switch to be fixed in place. I can take it out but no adjustment to its positioning or with the contact point on the brake pedal extension is possible.
I hope I am not completely retarded in what you were telling me to do. I am mechanically inclined but unable to find any way to resolve this problem. Any help possible, THANKS!

RE: Another BAS/ESP Problem
OK Sleepwalker,
Your fix worked great until now. The darn light comes on about 20% of the time when the brake is applied. There does not appear to be any common environmental conditions causing it, such as temperature, etc. Just comes on ever-so-often. Any ideas? Time to replace the stinking thing?
