Default aftermarket headlights

picked these black headlights up on ebay without replacement h4 bulbs for $200 w/shipping, the bulbs were another $45 at a carquest here in town. close to oem quality. I like them.

the packing of the headlights are adequate, but if you want the grille I would suggest Bekkers.com powered by Driiv Autosport & Performance. they package much better. They double box and it will come undamaged. the ebay seller I had sent it in just one box and a flimsy one as well, of course the grille I got for my slk came in damaged. the damage was in a spot that I could repair it without the repair being seen and I didn't want fight with the seller or deal with ups. the grille for my sl came well packed from bekkers and was fine.

the lights came with a socket inside the headlight assembly where you could add about a 5 watt push on bulb. on my 98 slk, the harness had a spot for the wire needed but was absent to plug into the headlight assembly harness. I just spliced in a wire to my outside marker wire and presto. anyway it gives you added running lights that look like dim headlights. the longer I have these lights the more I like them. I also replaced the wheel the caps with a chrome on silver Mercedes star for a change. this rig sure has given my darlin' wife and me much pleasure over the years travelin' the west and I'm an un-repented daimler petrol-head.
