the relay is in the dash at the bottom edge of the insulation to the left of a s shaped brace drivers side, to the right of the air vent duct. it pulls out. check the board for cracks in the soder. Those relays are pretty dependable. if you don't have the proper tools for prying parts apart, you can use something like a butter knife with tape on the end to protect your dash parts. be very careful taking the dash apart. pop out the vent/light switch cover. remove fuse panel access on the end of dash, remove screw above and to right of the fuse panel and loosen or remove the one below to the left. I recommend that you use a mirror with a flashlight to find the screws underneath. there are a few screws underneath and one way up in a deep hole toward the front, right side, buried up in the padding and one to the left of the hood release. There are two, I believe, 8mm screws with larger holes behind the screws that need to be removed and another in a recessed slot toward the back of the panel. I would take out the screws that hold the light switch to the dash. It's not necessary but those dash parts can be brittle and break from the strain when you finally pull down on the lower half of the dash. There is a cover just below the steering column, remove and remove the two screws on either side of the column. carefully pull down on the lower part of the dash, it does take a bit of an effort because of the tight fit of the two dash sections. be gentle.
