I just purchased a 1983 500SL with 135k on it which has been in storage for 6 years, when the original owner passed away. I'm still waiting for the seller to provide historical maintenance records, which she has but can't find! So I'll know more when I get the records. In the meantime, doe anyone have a list of recommended maintenance or trouble spots that I should have checked before putting it back on the road. Aside from the obvious (change oil, flush coolant, check hoses/clamps, tires, etc) any recommendations?
