Suspension leak on 2005 SL500

I've searched the forums and couldn't find anything related or that appears to be related.

I have a 2005 SL 500 and after I park it and it sits for a couple of hours the rear/driver side drops to where it is almost sitting on the tire. I started it once and got a "car too low" warning but once I put it in drive, the height adjusted. I recently took it MB and had it looked it. They said the replaced the seals and kept it for two days but I'm still having the problem. I'm doing some testing of my own and it appears to drop only after I have driven it for a while. It just sat overnight and I went out and backed it up a bit until the height adjusted again and so far it's not leaking. So possibly only happens after long drives .... still waiting though. I have asked a few friends and this appears to be a common issue but the dealership isn't quite sure how to fix it.

Thanks in advance.

Hydraulic struts always leak. I'v never heard about resealing them. Were a huse dealership and we always replace the whole strut.

It's at the dealership again and apparently not exhibiting the same behavior I see every time I park the car. They have had it for 2 days and claim that it's not leaking, yet when I bring it home and park it, it will always be significantly lower after one night.

Perhaps I should take the car to your dealership or at least one that has seen this problem before.

Thanks for the input.

first could be a leaking line...very common. there was recalls on some of the hydraulic lines. make sure thay have been done, also the ABC pump itself can go bad. depending on the situation if no leaks are found Benz recommends an ABC flush and renew the filter.

Thanks,no fluid under the car.I,m taking it out today to see if it levels when it is put in gear.So far I've not done anything with it.
