I just purchased a 97 sl320 and I have the same problem that my roll bar light blinks with the rol bar down. I also had the batteries disconnected. I can't find a way to get the light to go off.</P>
I am new to this forum. Have you had any luck with your problem If so please advise.</P>
Thanks.</P>
I had the same problem with a '96. I believe it is caused by a fault code being set in the soft top controller. I know of no way to clear the code other than to take the car to a dealer or an independent who has a Mercedes Hand-Held Tester or equivalent diagnostic tool. My dealer spent about 5 minutes clearing my code and charged me $100. On a '95 or older car you can clear the code yourself.
