Default SL 500 Power issue

I have a 2004 SL500 with 46K original miles. The car starts and runs ok and once in a while I go to start the car and nothing happens. No clicking noise from the starter and I get a red battery symbol on the instrument panel. Once I get a quick jump start the car runs great. The dealer says they have been unable to find a problem. I had the comfort batter in the trunk changed recently and the starter battery they tell me is just fine. Anyone else having the same problem or can assist in assessing the problem? Need help!
