SL 500 body
 

I am considering a 2003 SL500. I wanted to buy a used luxury car about 3 years old. However, I think the SL500 body is the same up through 2007. Does anyone know the year the body changed? Since the car has less than 50K miles I thought it would be very similar to buying a newer car just cheaper. Any input from those familiar with the SL500 would be appreciated.

as of right now still the same body. a small slight change to the front lights and fenders but still the same overall.

I'll reply as I'm not certain an earlier reply responded to your question. The 2003 SL500 is the first year of the new body style. It is the same or similar to the current model although it is an SL550. I believe the change in engines was beginning 2007.
Previous body style was 1992-2002.

I have a white '03 SL500 with 33K miles for sale in Atlanta for $25K. No factory options, though a Smart Top module is installed for in-motion and remote top operation. Reason for selling is to purchase another '03 in Orion Blue metallic paint with Stone leather. There may be fewer than 100 cars in that color combination in the entire U.S.

Hey guys, I just picked up a 2004 SL500 with 30K on the odometer. The car is in a perfect condition with original stock parts.
I like to upgrade the overall look by changing tail lights and pipes or maybe bumper. Any help to where I can get the parts and how to do it is highly appreciated.
