Seat belt Problem
 

I didn't know if someone might know how to fix a seat belt that has locked up? When I lifted the side lever and moved the passenger seat forward and pushed it back, the seat belt became really tight and wouldn't relax. I have tried everything to get it to relax and it will not. The manual doesn't seem to give any help either!
Any help would be most appreciated!

not sure what year your SL is but there is a switch on the right side of the seat that locks the belt for a child seat. maybe it neeeds to be unlocked with the switch

Sorry, it's a 2001 SL600. I tried that and it didn't really help so, it must be something else. I hope it doesn't require a new belt and removing of the seat. $$$

its a big pain in the ass. the whole seat back needs to be disassembled. its a big deal ...if you do need the belt.
