Replacing transmission '89 560SL
OK, so the time has come. We are pulling the transmission, torque converter and alternator and replacing with rebuilt (along with all the belts). They should arrive tomorrow. Husband has done plenty of engine work and is actually rebuilding a '72 911 from scratch at the moment, but are there any tricks or things to know about pulling an '89 560SL transmission that would be helpful?

(this is my car and it sucks that it is now summer and it sits waiting to be worked on, so any tips to speed this process up would be greatly appreciated!)
