Default Radio Problem--Right Channel

I have a 1994 500 sl. My radio is working fine with the exception that out of the blue, my right speakers are popping when i change channels.....I have not had any previous problems and no recent work has been performed on the car (in the electrical arena). Has anyone had this problem or are there any suggestions out there? The radio works fine otherwise. Thank you in advance for any input you may have.

Default RE: Radio Problem--Right Channel

Solved problem. This is more common than I thought even though no one replied. After searching the net for a couple of hours I found a site that explained the problem and suggest the correction. I unfortunately paid dearly for the correction but for public information, when this happens the first step is to pull the radio and replace the base unit. This cleared my problem. The next step, if this does not work, is to check out the subwofer and amplifier. Good luck to those with the problem.
