Bummed, dazed, and confused as to why my hardtop won't release. Just bought the car and know nothing about it. Fuses are good and I just filled the hydraulic oil (actually, I over filled it). Is there a reset button somewhere? Things to check? HELP!!! Any ideas sent to Rainman911j@aim.com would be much appreciated Jeff

 

does the top do anything? Does the bow come up (the back part of the top) and stop? do the windows go down when trying to release? does the roll bar work? First things first, you might try synchronizing the windows first. Manuallyput the top into its compartment following your owners manual instructions. Close doors and roll up your windows holding down on the window up switch for an additional five to six seconds after they stop, then try your top. If nothing, go to R129 soft top 'controller' ultimate thread-Benzworld.org on your search engine. ps, the punctuations are wrong on "controller" , but the site won't let me correct them.
