I have a 2001 SL500. Just ordered a new mass airflow sensor after cautious scrutiny and research. The seller took the time to go into their records and see how many, out of the 5 already sold in the past year (new product) to see that none have been returned on the 5 year warranty, that origionally attracted my attention. AutoTrust Platinum Mass Air Flow Sensor - Plastic Part #: WRBM316701NATP new. The price is $73.02 w/free shipping out of Ca. I will tell you the vendor if you msg me out of respect to our vendors, but copy/paste should cover it. Other than that, I'll keep you posted on how it works. Got the part a day earlier than expected, it looked exactly like the origional, packaged with endcaps, wrapped properly with bubble wrap and wax paper in a box. Installed easily, check engine light reset, power was restored, and all is well... If this keeps up, Bosche will either have to realize their monopoly has been challenged and drop the price or produce less... If it breaks or fails, I will post... 5 year warranty came with this, so they are very serious about believing in their product
