New SL 500 owner "duh" question

Just bought my 95 sl500 and I am going through all the fluids.I can not seem to find the hyd. fluid pump and resv. for top.In my older convertable it was in trunk...any help????

that's where it should be. there is a plastic cover that needs to be removed under the spare.
