my leather seats are starting to rip , threads. how do you repair them without taking them apart

 

you can't fix it in place. It's not a big deal to pop the lower cushions out and take it in to have an uphoslterer re-stitch them if the leather is still good. drive by one and get an estimate if you bring in the cushion. just remove the two phillips screws up front under the lip up the cushion and lift hard. the backs are a bit longer in removal, but still easy. you almost need three hands putting the backs back on if this is a 129 sl.

 

The hard back of my seats on the back side of my seat back (upper seat back) have come apart from the seat. I have glued them previously. Can you tell me what I should do to keep them from doing the same thing again?
