RE: Hydraulic fluid leak--SL500 1997
I too have the same problem that just started. The part number for the vacuum cyl. I have is 129-800-16-72 and my dealer in the Denver Metro (Murray Motors Imports) list price is $169.92. They seem to imply that I need to replace the whole lock (with the vacuum cyl attached) which cost $514.80. I think the parts guy was confused. Does anyone rebuild these things. I would think a seal kit would be cheaper and easier.

RE: Hydraulic fluid leak--SL500 1997
Once I make the replacement, though, is there any need to have additional hydraulic fluid added? If so, where is this done? |
