I have a 1999 SL500 which had the original cap replaced as part of a diagnostic process ( actual problemwas thecheck valve). Since I have had 2 caps which want to spin past the stepped plastic and are very hard to remove. Dealer says it is the filler neck and we need to replace the tank. any thoughts?
