can someone help me here..

i have ordered from a respectable auto supply house, chrome stainless door handle cups for my 2003 SL500...3 times they have sent me parts that on which the label clearly says for.. W220/W211/W203/W209/W219/W215.. i assume this is the chassis number that these should work on..
simply stated, the parts will not fit..they are too long to slip behind the door handle.
can someone clarify to me if there is a difference in the w220 w230 ... and the R230 (SL)
chassis so i can the message across to this company?
