Dash lights on a 1996 SL320
 

I have been having an issue with my light switch. It doesn't move very easily. Now when I turn the lights on, the dash lights won't illuminate. I can't find a rheostat that would possibly dim or shut them completely off so what could it be?

Would the light switch need replacing?

I also havea 96 320sl. On My dask there are 2 black knobs that protude through the glass on either side of the speedometer. The one on the left controls the dash lights. Hope it helps.
