New to group with new used 1990 500 sl...

Appear to have Raditor fluid and very warm water in Windshield washer fluid (white) container. any suggestions where issue is?

Found my own answer.. 1990 500 sl uses a heating coil (via engine coolant) in the water for Windshied water container to prevent Freezing... This coil can leak.. Solution.. Bi-pass coil with Copper fitting outside of Water bottle... or replace coil... bi-pass is answer as freezing is not an issue...

 

there is a composite valve inline on the heating coil down inside the reservoir. with age and sometimes with the help of putting the wrong windshield cleaner in the reservoir will cause it to crumble. don't use household cleaners such as windex. there's ammonia in those products and not good for anything in the system.
