That figures. In the UK, vanity plates are sold at auction , they can range for a few hundres pounds sterling to 10K poungs sterling or $20K US dollar give or take. It is a strange system, Somehow the motor vehicles controls the plates, but they are auctioned to the highest bidder. There also is something called MOT in the UK, don't have a clue. But Lugnut you most know. I like your 70 Chevelle with a "real" LS5. Man you must have bug bucks to own all those cars. I'm impressed, really!

Forgot to asked any of your cars have GPS? Remember "Trust No One."

You don't understand. Why would anyone want that plate? What does MEC mean, for example?

My truck has a built-in factory GPS unit and a cell phone as part of an On-Star system option. I use portable car GPS units in my cars and truck for mapping and routing. I don't trust you, but what the heck does that have to do with anything, especially GPS?

I'll explain the GPS System and systems like On-Star to you if you don't want to go around spouting idiotic conspiracy theories about GPS units. You have a profound misunderstanding of these systems.

...and, I got tons of "bug" bucks. You want some?

MEC Mercedes E Class? or perhaps the original owners initials. I just clicked on the Ebay site. They sold for 50K pounds or around $97,107.89 US, amazing?

I have GPS on my cell, always turn it off. I have a handheld GPS by Garmin, very seldome use it. Do you remember the X Files? Their deep throat told them "Trust no one."

i think MEC sounds near to MERC which is how the british calls the car.

they can make good emphasis on pronouncing the letter M as if it is creating a doppel effect as the plane is passing overhead.

Why would an SL55 have a plate for an E-Class?

Geezus! $97,107.89 for a vanity plate? And I thought you were stupid.

Oh... and you live in the X-Files. That's your problem. You watch and more importantly believe too much spook TV. Do you cover your head with aluminum foil so "they" can't read your thoughts?

...and, your cell phone most likely has GPRS that's used for E911. GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) uses cell phone towers and is not GPS (Global Positioning System) which uses satellites.

GPRS uses cell phone towers to triangulate your position when you dial 911 on your cell phone. Cell phone companies were mandated by legislation to provide a method of locating people when they dialed 911. This system is called E911 (Enhanced 911).

Most cell phone salesmen tell ignorant consumers that GPRS is GPS. They are ignorant, as well.

You can get GPS devices and software for cell phones, but it's expensive and phones don't just come with it. And, they aren't monitored by any men in black. They are mapping and navigation devices.
