All electric motors running slow

Hi Folks,
Just got myself a 1990 SL 500 and I'm having a few teething problems, some of the motors seem to be struggling, from the electric windows to the wiper motor ( sometimes it even times out ), even the clock is slow. There doesn't seem to be a problem with the starter motor as it fires 1st time and thge head lights seem to be fine aswell, it just seems to be all interior. Does anyone have any suggestions to the cause or solution to this problem????

Many Thanks in advance.

Explodingtoad,
From the sound of it, I'd check the battery first...is it the proper amperage called for in your car, and is the output to spec. Autozone or any of the battery stores will check this kind of thing for you usually for free.

Hey Bob,
Thanks for replying, would that matter if ythe engine was running, does the alternator not take over the batteries duties when running. It seems strange that when starting the starter motor sounds very healthy but all other auxilary motors struggle.... I don't know, I'm at my wits end with it...

Thanks for your input...

Hello Fellow SL Owner, I'm not sure what your problem is but I can suggest a few checks. having retired from the electical trades the first thing I would check is for corrosion and or bad grounds. Clean all connections and make sure you are getting the proper voltage to your motors, as well as what was suggested prior earlier. Some of these motors might be sharing a common ground and it might be loose or corroded. Hope this helps, and if not I will be following your situation. Good Luck.
