Default 96 sl 600 steering fluid

I was wandering how one might go about checking the steering fluid level in a 96 sl 600.
Thanx to anyone who can help!

When I had mine I had my shop check all of my fluids. Open the hood and the fluid box is in the upper right hand corner. Its like a tan box. Open the cap and see how much is in there. You can feel it in the sterring and you will know if more is needed.

The fluid is checked via the steering pump at the front of the engine, driver's/right side (facing the car). The pump is attached to a drive wheel driven by the fan/serpentine belt. Just behind the drive pulley, look for a black cap about 3" in diameter; unscrew it, read the stick if there is one and/or look inside the pump area for fluid level.
